| Fall Intramural League Update | |||
Schedules for the league are also available by clicking the following link: League Schedules Due to the work on the football field we needed to adjust our schedules and relocate certain fields from their previous location. Field 1 and 2 (Large sided fields) remain where they were in previous years near the school bus parking lot. Field 3 (large sided field) is in the left and center field of the baseball outfield in the back of Felix Festa. Fields 4, 5, and 6 (small sided fields) are on the school's field hockey field and Field 8 (large sided field) is in right field of the baseball outfield. Teams playing on fields 3, 4, 5, 6, and 8 should consider parking in the lot near the tennis courts to avoid walking through the construction area. Our Intramural League game rules are available by clicking the following links: Rules 1st - 3rd Grade Rules 4th - 8th Grade Coaches that are new to our program and coaches that did not complete one last season must complete a Risk Management On-Line Volunteer Disclosure Form. This background check, which is paid for by the Club, is a necessary step in insuring a safe playing environment for the children that participate in the Intramural League. Please click here for instructions to complete the Risk Management form. Find answers to Frequently Asked Questions about our Fall Intramural League. | Summer Soccer | |||
Each Wednesday during the summer we will have open soccer sessions at Felix Festa from 6:00 PM until dark. Adults will be there to insure safety, but the games and rules will be decided by the children that come down to participate. Teams may be mixed age groups, mixed genders, up a man, down a man, even sided, keepers, sweeper keepers or no keepers. You get the idea! Just come out, bring a friend or two and have some fun!
Summer Soccer Camps Although our Club does not run any summer soccer camps, a few of our travel coaches run independent camps during the summer that we would highly recommend for players looking to improve their skill and knowledge of the game. Those camps in alphabetical order are as follows Flying Dutchmen Soccer Camp - This camp is a half-day camp from 9:00 AM to noon for boys and girls ages 7 -14. The camp has three one week sessions as follows: June 30 - July 3 at Kennedy Park in New City; August 11 -15 at South Orangetown Middle School in Blauvelt; and August 18 - 22 at Veteran's Memorial Park in Orangeburg. The camp director is Jon Jacobs who coaches with the Lady Dutchmen at Tappan Zee High School. Jon is also the coach of a girls travel team with Clarkstown as well as one of the Club's goalie trainers. For additional information, please e-mail or call Jon at fdsc@optonline.net or (845) 661-2789. Rockland Community College Summer Camp - This camp held at RCC for Boys and Girls ages 6 - 14 has two one week sessions: August 18 to August 22 and August 25 to August 29. The RCC Soccer Camp is a full day camp running from 8:45 AM to 4:00 PM. The camp is directed by the RCC Men's Soccer team coach Loren Green and he is assisted by Danny Samimi. In addition to coaching at RCC , Loren also coaches two boys travel teams for Clarkstown. Danny played for RCC when he attended and is a member of the RCC Sports Hall of Fame. Additionally, Danny still plays for Clarkstown's Men's Over 40 team and trains a number of the Club's youth teams. For additional information, please call Loren (845) 304-7601 or Danny (914) 584-8111.
