Clarkstown Boys Showcase Teams back from Memphis

On Friday, December 5th, 34 high school players from Clarkstown Soccer Club traveled to Memphis, Tennessee, to participate in the Germantown Invitational Tournament, one of the largest college showcases in the Southeast .

Club members played teams from Ohio, St. Louis, Nashville and other parts of the Midwest. The Boys U18 and U16 Showcase teams prepared for the tournament the past two months with three training sessions a week and a demanding game schedule.   This is the second time in two weeks that the U18 and U16 teams have been showcased in tournaments and have been seen by over 300 different prospective colleges.  “This is a great opportunity for our players in the club to be seen by many different colleges,” John Moran, Boys U18 coach said. Two weeks ago both teams played in the MAPS College Showcase in Fort Dix, New Jersey.  Moran went on to say that his goal is to provide every player on both teams the chance to be seen by colleges and to obtain athletic scholarships for soccer. Both teams are schedule to attend the next college showcase in Tampa Fl. in February and again at Fort Dix, NJ in April. If you would like more information on these teams please email John Moran at John.Moran@cscsoccer.org.
