CLARKSTOWN SPORTS CLUB TOURNAMENT
RULES
Registration:
All teams must be registered at the Rockland
Community College Field House at least 30 minutes prior to the team’s first
game.
Teams will be permitted to register up to 15
players for U-11 through U-18 teams and Adult teams; up to 12 players are permitted for U-9
and U-10 teams; and up to 10 players are permitted for U-8 teams. Only registered team players with the USSF
(or like) passes or other suitable proof of age are allowed to
participate. Teams U-8 will be 5v5 plus
a goalie, teams U-9 and U-10 will be 6v6 plus a goalie, teams U-11 through U-13
will be 8v8 plus a goalie and U-14 and older will be 7v7 plus a goalie.
The tournament will be held regardless of the
weather, there will be no refunds for non-appearance due to inclement weather.
Match Rules:
The duration of the games for Day Sessions will be
17 minutes running time with one minute
between games. Format (Round
Robin or Play-Off) will depend on the number of teams entered in bracket.
Substitutions will be unlimited and may be made on
goal kicks, injury, your own throw-in, after goals, or at any other time subject
to the approval of the referee.
Corner kicks will be taken.
There will be no offside.
Free kicks will be per FIFA rules with the
opposing team at least 7 yards from the ball.
Penalty kicks will be taken from a point of 25 feet away from the goal.
An indirect free kick will be awarded if a
goalkeeper’s punt or throw, or a goal kick, crosses midfield without first
bouncing or touching a player from either team.
An indirect free kick will be awarded to the opposing team if the ball
hits the ceiling or light fixture. Such
free kicks will be taken from the center line.
Throw-ins will be taken for balls which touch the
curtain or cross the touch line.
In the event of a conflict of colors, the first
team listed on the schedule will change shirts.
Decisions of the referees and Tournament Officials
will be final and not subject to appeal.
Players must wear sneakers which do not leave
marks on the playing surface. Every team
must have two sets of jerseys.
Each team participating in the tournament will do
so at its own risk and agree to accept
responsibilities for injuries. Rockland
Community College, the Clarkstown Sports Club, USSF, USYSA specifically
disclaim responsibility for any injuries
taking place during the Tournament.
All non-participants and spectators will be
expected to observe the games in progress from the second level balcony. Participants in the next game scheduled will
remain on the second level balcony until
advised to prepare to play. Teams should
enter the area behind the field of play three minutes prior to their scheduled
game time.
Ejected players or coaches may not participate for
the remainder of the Tournament. A team
may replace an ejected player in the next game.
Ten or fifteen individual awards, plus one team trophy will be awarded
for first and second place in each class.
Additional awards may be purchased at cost.
Group standing will be determined based on match
points (3 for a win, 1 for tie, 0 for a loss), with the following tie breakers:
) head-to-head competition (does not
apply in three-way tie); b) most wins; C) bonus points; 3 maximum per game based on goal differential
(a 5-0 score or an 8-5 score both result in 3 bonus points); and d) penalty kicks for first and second place
only). Sudden death—no repeat shooters until
entire roster is used.
Miscellaneous:
* There will be a $2.00 per person
donation at the door for everyone except players and Head Coaches. A Tournament
program guide and schedule will be available.
* There will be a refreshment stand (coffee,
donuts, hot dogs, soda, etc.) in operation throughout the day. There will be a cashier’s table near the
refreshment stand to purchase tickets to pay for food. Buy tickets in bulk early to avoid
lines. Refunds for excess tickets will
be available at the end of each session.
*Trash
receptacles will be available
throughout the facility. We would
appreciate your cooperation in maintaining the facility the Rockland Community
College has made availability to
us. It makes a nicer environment for the
Tournament, and lets the college administration know that the soccer community
appreciates using the facility.
*Coaches are
advised to supervise their players and fans at all times. USE OF SOCCER BALLS IS ONLY PERMITTED ON
THE PLAYING FIELD.
* There is no time between games for warm-ups,
therefore, teams should not bring soccer balls down on the field house
floor.
* Chairs are not permitted in the mezzanine walkway around the playing field at Rockland Community College by order of the Fire Marshals. Chairs may be used in the lobby area as long as clear paths are left for exits. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but support the marshals ruling to keep the facility safe for everyone.
