Clarkstown Spring Development Academy

The Clarkstown Soccer Club is proud to announce the first Clarkstown Spring Development Academy.  This program has been exclusively designed with the individual development of young players in mind. The Clarkstown Spring Development Academy is staffed by Clarkstown’s professional and licensed soccer coaches qualified in both training and game aspects.  The emphasis on the program is on the technical development of the player, providing a fun and educational experience.

The Development Academy is open to children in kindergarten through the fourth grade.  The program will run for five Saturdays during April and May. Each child will be assigned to an age appropriate team and will train and play a small-sided game each Saturday.  Each Saturday session will be 90 minutes consisting of 45 minutes of training, followed by a 40 minute game where the players can practice the skills learned earlier in a game situation.

The registration fee for the Clarkstown Spring Development Academy is $80 and must be paid prior to participation.  The registration fee includes a Clinic tee shirt.  Participants must come properly attired in soccer shorts, shin guards covered by soccer socks, soccer cleats (sneakers are acceptable, but may be slippery on the grass or turf), and bring a soccer ball and a water bottle to each session.  Kindergarteners and first graders will use a size 3 ball. All other age groups will use a size 4 ball.  It is a good idea to write your child’s name in indelible ink on the ball as they tend to get lost easily.

Parents wishing to register their child or children can do so by following the instructions of our on-line registration system.  The deadline for registration is April 15.  Please make sure that you select the Spring Development Academy under the session.
